How Might We...
Accommodate new and existing users with a learning experience that supports guided learning paths as well as direct access to individual learning content.
My Contributions
For this project, I designed the initial UI/UX prototypes and provided guidance for the technical build of the learning management system, as well as creating the learning path structure and all lessons.

Relying on user feedback and in partnership with internal research teams, we learned that many returning learners found the existing learning path structure to be a roadblock when they needed to access specific lessons. Often it took three or more clicks to reach individual lessons, due to the existing system architecture.

To address the balance between the community’s desire for learning paths and their need to access individual lessons more directly, I designed a new version of Indeed Academy that nudged learners through lessons in the same ordered fashion as the prior learning paths while displaying all lessons on a single page, allowing returning learners to quickly jump into the specific content they were seeking.

Along with the new architecture, I revised the learning experience to allow users to progress in a self-guided nature, requiring only the completion of assessments to graduate. This was a shift away from the prior requirement to complete each lesson before progressing through the academy program.

Partnering with internal business intelligence team, as a result of these revisions we saw increased NPS, higher engagement levels, and increased spend on Indeed products. Furthermore, user feedback sessions confirmed that the experience was achieving our initial learning goals.
